30 in 30 Painting Challenge

Well, I decided that I want to try something new and have always been fascinated with watercolor painting. Anyone familiar with my work will know that I tend to jump into new was to express myself every few years. Having most time spent in sculpture I have been working first in wood, then metal, some clay and stone.

So it is obvious that my next departure is Watercolor...
I bought good quality paints, brushes and paper. I have done some painting with acrylics on my sculptures, but the flow of watercolor on paper is inspiring.

I have been  a long time listener to Leslie Seata on the Artist helping Artist pod cast and she runs the 30 in 30 Challenge and thought this would be a great way to jump into the deep end.  I am anxious to see how my work progresses in the next 30 days.  I will be painting small about 4 by 6 and I expect I will mainly do birds as a theme.
Expect my first post here tomorrow September 1st and I will also be posting onto  Leslie's blog.

This is what I am starting with, a limited pallet is fine for me, from this I can mix almost anything I will need.
